What a day! Over 80 children joined us, split over two sessions. 

We were given a fantastic insight into this charity.

Yet another fantastic quiz night hosted by the Community Centre. This one was sold out within 4 days of the tickets going on sale! It was great to see our 'regulars' and new faces. We love that we attract teams of all ages.

Every third Tuesday of the month, we invite someone to talk about a topic that we hope you will find interesting.

This month, we were delighted to welcome a local fiction author, Claire Gradidge. 

What a lovely and relaxed afternoon with friends! Who knew rolling a dice and drawing a beetle could be so fun.

What an amazing day, it was cuteness overload! Boujee Bee's joined us to deliver mini pamper sessions for little ones.

What a lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon. We had a rather tasty (if I do say so myself), buffet lunch with friends, followed by a keyboard concert played by local volunteer John Sherborne.

Katie Warner, a local lady who volunteers for a charity that tries to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery, delivered a very insightful short talk about the issue and ways that we can help whilst going about our every day lives.

Thank you to everyone that joined us; we think it was worth braving the rain for! We had a wonderful afternoon of craft, jiggling with Jiggy Rebecca from Jiggy Wrigglers and stomping around the woods in the rain looking for clues.

Just wow! Liv, our mad scientist from Sublime Science, delivered two fun and engaging science workshops for about 35 primary school aged children. Who knew science could be so fun?!

Thank you to Louise and Jillian from TMT Legal Services for their insightful talk on wills and power of attorneys. We all walked away with lots to consider.

Another fantastic Valley Park Litter Pick, supported by over 40 local residents. Thank you to everyone that joined us, including Hampshire Geo-Cachers. This was our largest collection of rubbish yet. Thank you also to TVBC for the loan of the equipment.

Over 20 local residents reserved a table at our indoor sale to sell their no longer needed items. There were loads of bargains to be had and certainly lots of toys, games and books.

Another fun evening attended by 76 local residents. Congratulations goes to Team Fiction Addiction.

A fantastic afternoon spent with friends. Attended by 30 local residents, many of which also attend the Community Kettle on a Tuesday.

A huge thank you to everyone that popped down today, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Despite the rain, there was a fantastic turnout. We were so impressed by the stallholders - there is some serious talent in the local area.

What a night! 78 participants (13 teams), 5 volunteers, 83 food orders from Chunky fish and chips, a cash raffle, marshmallow spaghetti towers and not forgetting the actual quiz. What more can you ask for?! And it was bring your own drink!

The Gods were on our side and we managed to find a break in the weather to enjoy a Community Litter Pick. Over 20 adults and 15 children joined us to help rid the area of litter. All equipment was provided and lots of litter was found, especially in the hedges, but we all agreed there was less litter found than on previous events.

Regrettably, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the Car Boot Sale planned for Saturday 4th November 2023. 

What a day! Two sessions, 85 pumpkins carved and 90 pairs of feet braved our Halloween trail. So much effort went into the fancy dress, you all looked amazing. 

A huge thank you to Trevor Vidler, a volunteer with Hampshire Search and Rescue for delivering a fascinating talk today on the wide range of tasks that this voluntary group/charity get involved in.

What an evening! Thank you to everyone that joined us and an even bigger thank you to our wonderful volunteers who helped set up and tidy away.  A special mention must go to Anna, Jess, Helen, Rob and our Bingo Caller Extraordinaire Rob – several people asked if this was his full-time job!

It was wonderful today to be joined for breakfast by our team of volunteers, it was our way of trying to say thank you for all of their hard work for the benefit of the local community and Community Centre. Our volunteers help in a number of ways; some help distribute the Valley Park Voice whilst others volunteer at our community events.

As part of our Community Kettle, our aim is to have an interest talk on every third Tuesday of the month. For the month of September, the topic selected was Beekeeping and what a fantastic and informative talk it was, by local Beekeeper Alan Brown.

Thank you to everyone that visited our Valley Park Summer Fayre last Saturday. The sun was shining, music was blaring and lots of fun was had.
