Update from the Chair - October 2026
There has been plenty for local people to keep an eye on in recent months. The proposals for Local Government Reorganisation in Hampshire have now been withdrawn for the foreseeable future, and we will continue working with local authorities, neighbouring community associations and other partner organisations to support activities and services for Valley Park residents.
Another topic that continues to attract local interest is the proposed Velmore Farm development. You'll find an article elsewhere in this edition about a residents' action group, together with information on how readers can learn more about its activities if they wish.
We also enjoyed an interesting presentation at a recent Community Kettle meeting from Brendoncare about their activity club, which is open to non-residents. It was good to hear about the range of opportunities available, and further information can be found on the Brendoncare website.
