Digital Confidence for the Over 65s

Build your digital skills, gain confidence, and stay connected in a friendly and supportive environment.

Digital Confidence for the Over 65s is a six-week course designed specifically for older adults who want to improve their confidence using technology. Whether you're new to computers and tablets or simply want to learn more about staying safe online, this relaxed and welcoming course will help you get more from your devices.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop, iPad, or tablet so they can learn using the technology they use every day.

What You'll Learn

Getting to know your device, including accessibility features and basic settings
Internet browsing, using Google, and understanding online security, antivirus software, and cookies
Emails, online communication, passwords, phishing, and spam awareness
Online shopping, including staying safe and understanding what information companies need
Exploring online entertainment and discovering the benefits of the internet
A final session tailored to participants' interests and questions

When: Every Wednesday, 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Duration: 6 weeks

Wednesday 30 September
Wednesday 7 October
Wednesday 14 October

Cost: £20 contribution per person for the full course.

Tutor

The course is delivered by Simon from DTE Digital Training and is designed to be friendly, supportive, and paced to suit all participants.
